Hi everyone

Have been reading all your comments over the past few weeks and you have all convinced me that the Kuga is the way forward.

Trading a Quashqai in due to total disappointment in almost every area and being really embarrassed getting stuck in the snow everywhere in a car that looks like a 4WD but was only 2WD!

So can't wait to get the new car - Kuga 2.0 diesel AWD in chill with appearance pack.  Its not got parking sensors so looking to get those fitted - local ford garage quoted £250 for colour coded - does that sound reasonable?  No bluetooth either but has parrot (oh well a girl can't get everything!).

Hi Wendy and a big welcome to the Club. I don't think you'll be disappointed moving from the Quashqai to the Kuga Big smile

I think that you managed to get a good deal on the parking sensors, I paid about £380 for a retro fit and I thought that I had got a good deal. I've no doubt you'll manage just as well with the "parrot" as you would with the Bluetooth.

I see from your profile, you come from God's country (that'll probably cause a reaction Wink) but what area in Bonnie Scotland are you from ? There are quite a few Scottish members on here but that is mainly due to our English friends allowing some Kugas out of Essex LOL

Regards

John

Hi John
Thanks for the welcome.  The Kuga would need to be going some to live up to the disappointment of the Quashqai!!

I will get the car booked in to get the sensors done.  Read a few reports about the parrot bluetooth and not so good but should get me by.

Yes - gods country indeed (only kidding folks).  I'm from sunny (not!) Gourock.

Regards

Wendy

Wendy, I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. The Kuga is a great car to drive but watch out for all the envious glances Big smile Look out for PortKuga, he's always on the road and stays nearby in Port Glasgow.

Hi and welcome Wendini1, good to hear of koc member relitively close by. I have seen two black and two silver kugas around Inverclyde but none are members. Usually go for a few drives down by the ibm around to the cloch thru Gourock with the wife so I will keep my eye out for you.
Where did you buy from, hopefully not ACs at pottery st, they are very expensive.

Hi everyone

Picked up mine last Friday

Within 20 minutes returning back to Somerset from Buckinghamshire on Motorway damm stone hit the windscreen thought we had been shot, but damage not to bad.

apart from that all is well. drove over to Newport Saturday for daughters tennis match and was a nice jouney.

I have been looking at the Ford premium service Plan which can cover for 3 years at a set price.
Any comments , is it worth going for as they say the price is set for 3 years.

PS
I have put my footwell bulbs in already (Nice one)

(Vision Blue   Zetec 2wd  appearance pack)
Now wish I had parking sensors may also get them fitted.

Regards
Snappy

Hi Snappy

The problems with stones hitting windscreens is not uncommon but you still have to consider yourself unlucky for it to happen to yourself. Glad to hear that the damage was not to severe though. I have a panoramic roof which I thought was the "bees and ees" until someone posted on the forum, that the roof is a good target for these errant stones. Now panicking everytime I go out.

With regard to the 3 year Service Plan, I took it out when I bought my Kuga, from memory it was about £580. This did work out cheaper than adding up all the services individually, I firmly believe that there is no way that Ford are going to reduce their prices, they are only going to go up.

Regards

Hi Snappy From someone who ordered front/rear sensors (factory) and they were not fitted (dealer error)  I accepted, dealer fitted one.  My advice is go for the sensors which are secured to the inside of the bumpers. Paint disappeared from mine within just a week or so.
