Nice one Griff. I'm just deciding on what to order too. Interesting that you have opted for the TDCi when you said you were having the 2.5T.
What made you go for the SAT Nav / DVD, is it the one with the camera..?
What put's me off this is the fact it is not capable of playing DVD's.
Can't wait to see what you do to it, your like me, like to mod..lol

Hey Bob, I have a lot of time for Gary and the guys at Profile Automotive. Had a chat with them today with regards to mods both power and cosmetic - all positive. They provide the enhancements to certain Ford dealers who sell them at their own inflated prices etc - The only bonus to having them fitted by a Ford dealer is of course youre covered by warranty but from experience you have to go back to the same franchise to get any work done so youre no better off really. Profile Automotive warranty all of their work and they do a top class job.
The Code Red or Superchips Bluefin software is all loaded to the Kuga ECU via the OBD2 port do there is no need for cracking open of ECUs etc. Just plug in load and see the increased performance and of course money saved over time in fuel. Ive no doubt this is on my shopping list for sure!
Ive started already ordering bits and bobs and if people dont have any objections I will open up a Kuga project thread so you can see how progress is being made.
Hope that explains my thoughts anyways Bob!

Marco, as I said earlier, the running costs, insurance and the flippin tax bracket of £400 and future sellability just didnt justify forking out the extra couple of grand for the petrol version. I am sure that the TDCI will be able to provide as much fun given the correct application of upgrades that suits my love of modding etc.
Yes mate the DVD sat nav with camera was my choice again for sellability factor. The way the nav system has been given its name does suggest you can play DVDs but sadly not. :(

Griff, congratulations on finally "doing it" and the spec is great. Me thinks that you could now be classified as a "mature" driver

He Griff, Just checked out Profile Automotive, they are only 12 miles from me, would your Kuga be taken there in the future. Their price for code red is the same as Ford Dealers. Bob

Interesting comments concerning Code Red Griff - having spoken to Gary myself over the last 4 months concerning the CR 180bhp upgrade - he was still telling me recently that they havent found a way to get the remap inside the tolerances required for the DPF filter and so it leaves a grey area concerning warranty and not to mention the excessive smoke that the engine will produce from running more than the DPF can handle.
To date the only tuner that can offer a remap that falls within the tolerances of the DPF is the 155bhp one that Superchips offer but if Gary has news then he sure as hell has been too slapdash to update me cos I've been waiting to hear back once any progress has been made by the Code Red team
