As all new cars will have DRLs fitted from this month I thought that I would fit them to the Ford Kuga
Ford want £400+ for a kit
Ring do an LED strip that just fits between the Kuga Body and headlight and would no doubt fit other Fords in the same way
It just pushes in an exact fit with no glue etc needed but sticky strips are provided if needed
I wired it to the ignition so that it comes on when the car is ON and used a 5 pin change over relay so that the DRLs go off when the side lights are switched on as per regs
The Ring unit costs £29 or more !

Hi JohnG
Nice job and well priced.
Quoting...I wired it to the ignition so that it comes on when the car is ON and used a 5 pin change over relay so that the DRLs go off when the side lights are switched on as per regs...
Not sure if the regs require DRL to be turned off when main lights are on or whether they merely have to be below a certain level of luminence.  The ones I have fitted (which sit in the space below the headlight unit with the blank removed) actually go to approximately half brightness when I switch the sidelights on so that they are much less bright when the lights are on. Do you know hat the new regs demand them to be off as I'll get mine sorted if required.

This what Halfords say but it was easier to do via the side lights for some reason

So, here is first installation new ford DRLs into 2011 Kuga (it`s not my Kuga - just one man from fkclub.ru).

You need to order this parts:
Connection done from the pump through the control module (pumps may be different from the year of production depends, as in my kuge 2011), added some special connectors and something done in the fuse box. It was done by ford local dealer.

As I hardly ever use the standard fogs, I am thinking I will ditch them and use the space left behind the black trim panels to fit these . At €115, I think it's OK.

Have 2011 kuga and just fitted factory fit DRLs and now looking for wiring diagram.
Have after market relay and loom to supply each drl. The factory fit DRL fit okay but have three pin connections. Have you wiring diagram to identify these connections, take one is negative, one is positive to provide full brightness and the third is reduced brightness when running with normal lights on.
Kind regards Graham
