Hi All.
This link covers the paint surface and perforation warranty conditions -
It appears that the Kuga perforation warranty period is 12 years, but does not apply to the wheels, sadly!

It does say though, under "Owner's Responsibilities" for body perforation -
  • Ensure that the body panels are examined annually, preferably by a Ford Authorised Dealer and that the results of the check are recorded in the vehicle's body and paint record to maintain the vehicle's perforation warranty.
  • You could infer from the "preferably" that you could carry out your own annual inspection and still comply?????  Any legal experts care to comment?

Yes I have 18" wheels and have corrosion on my wheels
I actually before getting the car noticed that they have been fixed under warranty before
If they had powder coated them they wouldn't have corroded again :-(

    Exactly ^^^^^^^

Reasons to go 19" also as above.....................

Diamond cut surfaces equate to 90* degree corners and laquer doesn,t stick, like a 8/10mm bath tub the thickness is,nt  8 or 10mm when it is formed around corners !!!!!!!!!

I noticed marks on our Kuga alloys more than a year ago but, being rather stupid, assumed it was something I had or hadn't done. The front ones are not affected but the rear ones are bad - actually lifting in one area. We have had the vehicle from new and it is a 62 plate but has only done 11.5k - has always been serviced by Ford dealer - do you think the engineer should have pointed it out before it got so bad?Confused
