Hi everyone,
Has anyone seen a good looking stainless steel bar for the back of the mark 2 kuga...?
Most I have seen are corners or a bar in the middle.
Neither look good and are as much use as a chocolate fireguard as well as overpriced, .
There are a few decent A bars for the front but nothing decent for the back.
Please leave your views and photos if you have any,
Regards,
Eddierai

I moved the OP out of the Main Message Centre and into the Mk2 Modifications sub forum last night just a few moments after it was posted by Trebor as it relates to modifying the Mk2 Kuga funnily enough.

As for the link, provided by Dragonback, to the existing side bars thread as that relates to the Mk1 I think, for the sake of any confusion between Mk1 & Mk2 owners, it might be beneficial to run two separate threads in the respective Mk1 and Mk2 sub forums as we have done for the MPG subject.

Hi,
I'm going to install some sill guard to my Kuga and was thinking of THESE, not everybody's cup of tea, I grant you, but I like the look of them lol.

Anyway, Has anybody had any experience of fitting something like this to your car, not necessarily a Kuga as i'm guessing the install is pretty much the same for any car ?
Also, picking up power from the footwell lights looks easy enough, but would it give an error code because of the LED's.

I don't want to buy them and it ends up a three act drama getting them to work correctly.

Thanks.

hi
i fitted chrome side bars to my Kuga two years ago
they just bolt to the chassis underside of car
Quite easy to fit once you head your head around the bits that came with the kit
also fitted led to the underside sill and connected the to the side lights
with no problem
mine is a 2009 year

just checked tour link
sorry mine are wrong type

but going off the instruction you should not have a problem
i have fitted led to the front and rear foot wells an connected them to the footwell circute
no problem
David

if you get issues with LEDs these (or the suitable ones for thew LEDs you're using) can be used to correct the error (i used them on a Chevy truck rear lights )

Thanks for the reply's guy's, took a punt and ordered a set,. not overly expensive so won't break the bank if they turn out to be pants.

Thanks Eamonn for the tip regarding the resistors, i'll give them a go if required.

Want a set of side steps to help my 4 year old son to clamber into his seat.

I bought the first. The bases that hold the stair descended too low and I was scared that they will find down very easily in any of-road route. Now sitting in my warehouse.

No sorry , sold the kuga ,   But I will say that the mounting holes at the rear do not carry a adult , as at the rear they are on bolted to the floor which starts to droop if you use them , the front is not too bad . My steps were strong it was just the ford mounting point of which ford told me ,, that is why they do not supply side steps as a option they have to be after market.
Best regards
